It's a wonderful festival celebrated the first week of July! It's held in honor of Orihime and Hikoboshi, two young people who fell in love at first sight. Orihime was a weaver of beautiful silks and she was the daughter of the King of the Sky, and Hikoboshi was a cow herder who lived on the other side of the Milky Way. They were arranged for marriage since the King loved his daughter so much, but unfortunately once they were wed they wound up putting off all of their usual tasks to spend time together... Anyway, it's said that as long as it doesn't rain during the week of Tanabata, the wishes you make come true. Isn't it lovely?
