[Today's video opens up on -- a batch of eggs! Yes, excitement. Ryoji's breeding has finally begun.

...Not on the pair he thought it would, but hey! How a ghost and a knight get it on is of no concern to him. He's just happy to have eggs around to cuddle.

On the other hand -- there are quite a few eggs. Since he's seen other people do it, he figure it must be a fine idea.]

Good morning! [And there's Ryoji, at last, scoping into view. Just to pick up one of the eggs.] Reaper-san and Helmet-kun had eggs, and I don't think I can really keep all of them and give them the proper attention they need... So! I'm giving these ones away. Reaper-san doesn't mind.

[...No, the Dusclops does not. The Gallade, on the other hand, is sulking out of view, and Ryoji glances at him before he continues.]

I have two Duskull eggs and three Ralts eggs... I know it's not much, but they're all in perfectly good health!

[Ryoji will be taking your orders pls and thanks --]

IV. the emperor's fifth robe | video | ecruteak city

[Ryoji's been between Goldenrod and Ecruteak for a while now - he would've gone on to Olivine, had things gone down there that he really wasn't sure what to make of... hadn't gone done there - but today, he resides outside of the theater in Ecruteak.

Oh, he's looking happy. He's still pretty shimmery though.]

No matter how many times I see it, the dance never gets old. It reminds me a lot of the geishas in Kyoto -- ah, but Junpei-kun and I never got to see them. What a shame... [...They would've been lovely.] I wonder if I could get my Pokémon to dance like that?

[There is an unbelieving snort behind him, and Ryoji turns his smile and charm on his grumpy Absol.]

I think Orihime-chan would look really nice, don't you? I mean, there's even already an Umbreon with the girls. She would really be perfect for it.

[OH YES--]

Orihime-chan recently evolved into an Umbreon, and Helmet-chan-- ah, Helmet-kun evolved into a Gallade the last time I was in Goldenrod... I had to pay for the Dawn Stone though. I caught my first Pokémon at the Bug Catching Contest, too - his name is Fuu-kun, and he's a Butterfree. He's as strong as Mina-kun is! It's really exciting. Fuu-kun's really shy though, so I don't think I could show him to you guys like I usually do... Mina-kun'll have to do.

[He leaans back and pulls the Absol over. What? No, the Absol was totally struggling. He didn't get pulled over willingly. He hasn't, like, gotten used to people or something. ~~Bakas.~~]

He and Orihime-chan have gotten really friendly all of a sudden, and I wonder if that means they're going to hav--

[The feed ends there, because a certain Absol doesn't want that kind of thing aired out about him.]

[Ryoji's grinning this evening because - not only is it Tanabata, one of the festivals he never had the chance to celebrate back home - his Eevee egg has hatched! The sleepy fox pokémon in question is lolling around beside him, and he's scratching her stomach softly as he shows her off.]

Hello everyone! It's Ryoji again. I hope everyone's celebrations are going well, and that you've made your wishes! I know I have.

[The Eevee yawns and Ryoji chuckles, turning the 'Gear away from her and back to himself.]

I guess Orihime-chan's still a little tired. She's named after the beautiful woman from the legend - isn't that great? I thought it'd be fitting, since she was born today.

[And while he is super interested about wishes, he won't ask about anyone's ~~in public~~.]

[The evening finds Ryoji yawning, moreso than usual; he's been forcing himself to stay up all night to travel, while his Absol skirts the road ahead and fights, and sleep through the day - which is harder to break in than he realized. His new Murkrow - courtesy of an egg hatched a little over a week ago - is perched on his shoulder, although his Absol's nowhere to be seen.

Most likely because of the question Ryoji asks, after he's through with his second yawn.]

Does anyone else's Pokémon train themselves? [He pauses for a moment to rub the eye with a mole beneath it. Dang, it'd been a lot easier back home not to sleep. He hadn't even really been tired then.] I don't think it's a bad thing, especially since I'd prefer not to fight, but I was just wondering if Mina-kun was the only one who did it... He's even taken to training Takara-chan.

[The Murkrow squawks happily, rubbing her beak against Ryoji's hand when he goes to give her a rub with the hand not holding the Gear steady.]

I bet when my eggs hatch he'll be after those, too... Ah, anyway, Violet City isn't so bad! I think we'll be here a little longer, since both Mina-kun and Takara-chan want to check out the tower here. If anyone doesn't mind travelling at night and doesn't have anyone to travel with yet, we'd be happy for your company. Or, well, I would be.

Ah! [He grins, loosening his scarf a little. Why is it so hot he never even felt chilly really at home why now.] Especially if you're a girl. I'd be honored to have your company then.

( some introspection; spoilers for persona 3, so skip past if you don't want to see them )

[Not much later, Ryoji's peering into the Gear and grinning at the camera; his hair's plastered to his face and he's soaking yet. Someone ~~was shoved by their starter~~ slipped into the ocean while they were thinking -- but for now, he's sitting by the edge and letting his feet stay in the water, not that the camera can catch that. It can, however, catch the top of an egg (Eevee, for those familiar with them).]

This world's really beautiful, isn't it? I'm glad to have the chance to explore it. I've heard there are busier towns further along, and while the scenery here is wonderful, I'm a little homesick for the city... I don't think Mina-kun's going to like the busier towns too much though.

[But oh! Introductions! He waves over an Absol - who leans juuust into camera view, a small frown perched on its face - and flashes the camera a charming smile.]

I'm Ryoji Mochizuki, and this is my Absol, Mina-kun. [The Absol gives Ryoji a hard look, then saunters off camera. Ryoji's smile falters for only a second before it's back up, brighter than before.] He's a little tough, but hopefully he'll warm up to me soon. I named him after a friend from home, since their hair's kind of the same.

[Heheh. Not to mention their personalities --]

I hope we'll all get along well.
