He didn't even feel her pull - feel the end of the world close by, despite it - and he wonders what Minato's answer would be. He should kill him, but --

He tucks his chin into his scarf and sighs, staring at his hands. If she was truly around, he would've changed by now. He would've become completely unrecognizable. In the water's reflection, however, he sees only himself, eyebrows knitted together in confusion and worry. But -- he hadn't. He was still the same.

[Not much later, Ryoji's peering into the Gear and grinning at the camera; his hair's plastered to his face and he's soaking yet. Someone was shoved by their starter slipped into the ocean while they were thinking -- but for now, he's sitting by the edge and letting his feet stay in the water, not that the camera can catch that. It can, however, catch the top of an egg (Eevee, for those familiar with them).]

This world's really beautiful, isn't it? I'm glad to have the chance to explore it. I've heard there are busier towns further along, and while the scenery here is wonderful, I'm a little homesick for the city... I don't think Mina-kun's going to like the busier towns too much though.

[But oh! Introductions! He waves over an Absol - who leans juuust into camera view, a small frown perched on its face - and flashes the camera a charming smile.]

I'm Ryoji Mochizuki, and this is my Absol, Mina-kun. [The Absol gives Ryoji a hard look, then saunters off camera. Ryoji's smile falters for only a second before it's back up, brighter than before.] He's a little tough, but hopefully he'll warm up to me soon. I named him after a friend from home, since their hair's kind of the same.

[Heheh. Not to mention their personalities --]

I hope we'll all get along well.

[He'll comply. See? Well -- there really isn't too much of a beach, but the sea's certainly close and it's probably a lot clearer than Goldenrod. Little buoys float much father out, restricting trainers who'd like to surf into the wide open blue, but they're only noticeable by their characteristic bobbing in the waves.]

Isn't it lovely? [He's musing more to himself than anything, and the camera shifts forward as he leans on his egg a little.] I wonder if there's a place you can see it even better from.

He really has been out here all day -- well, he moved to eat earlier, but now he's back, legs crossed and spending time with his little egg. His Absol is, somewhat reluctantly, curled up against his leg, asleep, so Ryoji's voice is a little softer than usual.]

It's nice to meet you too, Rangiku-san. You've really been here a whole year? I can't imagine being away from Iwatodai for so long...

Are you close to Cherrygrove City? I'm in dire need of a lovely lady to eat with, as beautiful company as the stars are.

[He pats the egg, but he doesn't mean it -- well, he does, but he wouldn't stop looking forward to the day his Absol was friendlier to him.]

Trust me, it would have taken you two months to reach it if you came a year ago, so it's not too bad. [ Thank goodness that tree Pokemon moved away. ] And it can be kinda crowded and busy at the city, so it might not be too good for him.
